Mulheres Fantásticas or Fantastic Women is a series of 6 episodes as a homage for the International Women’s Day.

The series rely on animation to narrate the story of strong woman characters that conquered space and changed history for the future generations. Each episode was made by a different artist and I had the pleasure to be invited by Analúcia Godoi to work on the story of miss Ivone Lara, an important person for brazilian music.

The main goal with the series was to inspire girls to be anything they want, so the art had to aim these public, but be enjoyable by adults too, so we went heavy on the pencil and crayons, some real life textures and digital collages.

I had so much fun with this project, not only illustrating, but also researching the life of each character that appears on the script. It’s a documentary, so almost everyone here was a real person with such an amazing contribution for brazilian culture! Definitely one of the projects that I keep in my heart.
